The legendary movie star made a name for himself on the LA comedy scene, later becoming a regular performer on Russell Simmons’ groundbreaking “Def Comedy Jam” in the early nineties. Chris Tucker continued to skyrocket in 1995 when he starred in the seminal stoner comedy “Friday” alongside the iconic Ice Cube as the loud-mouthed pothead called Smokey. But that was just the start of his impressive career as the 1998 buddy-cop blockbuster “Rush Hour” earned him the spot as one of Hollywood’s highest-paid actors at the time. WOW! He also recently starred in the 2023 hit movie “Air” alongside legendary actors Ben Affleck, Matt Damon and Viola Davis.

Chris Tucker is showing no sign of slowing down with the announcement of The Legend Tour. The Atlanta native will bring his comedic genius and epic performance skills to the Hollywood Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles. It isn’t the first time that Chris Tucker has wowed audiences with his live stand up comedy. Back in 2011, he took North America by storm with his highly acclaimed tour and in 2015, he released the Netflix comedy special, “Chris Tucker Live.” Taped at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre, the special tackled relatable themes such as dating and aging, as well as shining a light on his hilarious impression of superstar and close friend Michael Jackson.

And now it’s your chance to see the comedy legend live and up close. “I started my career doing stand-up in comedy clubs and it’s stand-up comedy that prepared me for all of my movie roles,” Tucker said in a statement to The Times. “I’m looking forward to getting back to my roots. I love performing live, there’s nothing like the energy of a live crowd and making people laugh. I’m excited to be back out on tour.”
